The combination of modules within the Business course at Sarum Academy, aims to broaden your understanding and encourage your entrepreneurial passion. At some point in your life, you will be in a job - either self-employed, or working for a company. The skills and knowledge you develop in Business lessons will put you in the best position possible to succeed in your career, and move you up to more challenging, fulfilling, higher-paid jobs faster. Modules covered: • Features of a Business • Work Experience • Running an Event • Recruitment and Selection • Marketing • Finance WHAT WILL I STUDY? The first topic studied explores the basic features of a business, before moving into deeper specialisms across the course. You can expect to learn about marketing, finance and recruitment, amongst other topics. Each unit will allow you to explore part of the Business world in depth, whilst using a variety of assessment methods to aid you in your study. WHERE WILL THIS TAKE ME? Students have gone on to University, where our average grade of a Merit+ resulted in a large number of valuable UCAS points for University applications. Courses of note that previous students have gone on to study were Politics, Sports Management and the Fashion Industry. A portion of students also chose to move into full-time employment or apprenticeships after the course. We are certain that the skills learnt within Business will allow you to flourish in the future.
