
This is an A Level Course. Studying English Language offers you the opportunity to further your love of reading, writing, analysing and making connections between texts. You will study Language, the Individual and Society, Language, Diversity and Change as well as Language in Action. You will explore areas such as Language Acquisition and be encouraged to develop your interest in English as you - develop and apply your understanding of the concepts and methods appropriate for the analysis and study of language; explore data and examples of language in use; engage creatively and critically with a varied programme for the study of English; and develop your skills as producers and interpreters of language. In addition, you will be encouraged students to develop your enjoyment of English as you independently investigate language in use. MINIMUM SUBJECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (in addition to the general 6TH form minimum entry requirements of 5 x grade 4 at GCSE/equivalent or above including maths and English): GCSE grade 5 in English Language
