
This two year course is equivalent to 2 A Levels. You must also choose Business (Extended Certificate) in either Block B or Block E. The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business provides an excellent insight into how business works. There is a programme of speakers, activities and opportunities which will allow you to experience the real business world. You will complete the four units of the Extended Certificate plus: • International Business (coursework unit) • Principles of management (externally assessed unit) • Managing an event (coursework unit) • Investigating Customer Service (coursework unit) This course is sound preparation for Higher Education, if at least a Merit is achieved. It is also an excellent basis for modern apprenticeships, employment or to start your own business.
Minimum five GCSE passes (grades 4 or 5) including English Language and Maths. Students must also meet subject specific minimum entry requirements (shown below).
Assessment is through a combination of coursework, and external examination which are graded as Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*.
