
This BTEC course provides a coherent introduction to the study of creative digital media production. Learners develop an understanding of the media industry through analysing media representations and pitching and producing media projects. This qualification is designed to provide a technical introduction to digital content publishing. Learners develop skills in areas such as digital magazine production, image manipulation techniques and coding for web-based media. The course focuses on the holistic development of the practical, interpersonal and thinking skills required to be able to succeed in employment and higher education. Independent study commitment: Five hours per week minimum.
GCSE: 4 in English; 4 in Computing or Pass in Creative iMedia preferable
