Students should enjoy exploring, working with and manipulating resistant and non- resistant materials. Students should be willing to continue to develop their visual and graphical communication skills and be able to work under pressure . Their coursework will be presented as a digital design portfolio and students will manufacture a functional prototype for a client of their own choice. With a qualification in Design and Technology students could go on to study for a degree in higher education, or work in the engineering, manufacturing or design industries. Other subjects which would go well with design and technology are art, physics or mathematics.
-Grade 5 in DT. -Grade 5 in Maths. -Grade 4 in any science. Students also need to have achieved a GCSE grade 5 in maths and grade 4 in any science subject.
