We welcome newcomers to year 12 at Sackville to a transition meeting on Thursday 3rd July at 8.45am

This is an important opportunity to learn in more depth about Sackville sixth form, the beginning of term procedures and what students can expect from sixth form life at Sackville. There will be an opportunity to have a tour of the school too. The meeting will also go over what to do if you do not reach your target grades for your subjects and the procedure to follow and the date timeline for this. There will be a short presentation and a brief student introduction from our head students. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

You are cordially invited to attend our Sixth Form Induction Day where you will have the opportunity to find out more about the A-levels we offer as well as meeting subject teachers and prospective Sixth Form students.  You have already made a provisional choice of courses and the day will give you an opportunity to sample lessons in your chosen subjects, although you do not have to make a final decision until after you have received your GCSE results.

The Induction Day will run from 9.00 am until 3.30 pm on Monday 23rd June.  We ask all students to come directly to the main school hall in the morning where you can pick up a timetable for the day. The timetable will have all the subjects in their correct block order: A,B,C,D. The more popular subjects appear in more than one block. You have already been allocated subjects and blocks based on your individual choices. During the first period in the main hall I will give out detailed information so that you know which sessions you are expected to attend during the rest of the day.

We warmly invite current Year 11 students to our upcoming Sixth Form Open Morning.

This event offers an excellent opportunity to gain insight into life in our Sixth Form, hear from current students and take a guided tour of the Academy. 

Whether you’ve already applied or are still considering your options, we look forward to welcoming you.

We believe that it is important that parents are kept informed of the opportunities available and additional support whilst you are in the VI Form. Some of these opportunities need to be considered now so that they can be taken advantage of from September 2023. Parents and students are invited to the Welcome Event which will take place also on Wednesday 25th June 2025 between 5:30pm and 7pm.

The evening will commence in the VI Form Centre at Camborne Science and International Academy. This event will provide information about the many exciting opportunities available to students.  There will be individual sessions on:

• The Enrichment programme
• Progression beyond VI Form and University
• Academic and pastoral support
• VI Form Scholarships
• Bursaries 
• The VI Form Induction program.

Invitation to LAB16 Taster Day - Tuesday, 1st July 2025

Congratulations on reaching the halfway point in your GCSE examinations! Keep up the excellent effort – you're so close to a well-deserved summer break. We're thrilled to invite you to an exciting event you can look forward to: our LAB16 Taster Day on Tuesday, 1st July!

We've designed an engaging day packed with opportunities to experience life at LAB16 as an IB student. You'll participate in three taster lessons, giving you a flavour of our dynamic academic environment, alongside three team-building activities designed to help you connect with both current and prospective LAB16 students. This day is a fantastic chance to mix with and get to know the LAB16 community, a key aspect of the inclusive and supportive ethos we pride ourselves in.

Please arrive for registration at 8:45 am. The day will conclude at 3:00 pm. We will provide lunch, but you are also welcome to bring your own. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please indicate them on the form linked below.
