Physics

Course summary

You will come to understand some of the main ideas and methods of physics and learn to apply your knowledge to solve problems. Topics studied in the first year include Particles, Radiation, Waves, Mechanics, Materials, and Electricity, and in the second year Further Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Fields, Nuclear Physics, and Astrophysics. You will also study how to make measurements and evaluate errors, and your skills will be assessed leading to a separate certificate to endorse practical competency.
