You will look at varying approaches to theatre throughout the world and how political and social change has affected the art of theatre and its perception by the public. Further to this you will watch a wide variety of live theatre productions that will enhance your understanding and your approaches to the subject. The course has been recognised for its ability to create exceptional performers and achieve top grades via a wide range of performances and exam pieces. You will be part of a team that studies both new and traditional texts and works with university lecturers and authors from around the country. You will participate in a number of public performances at both internal and external venues and our Drama and Theatre students are an integral part of our Centre of Excellence productions.
