Assessment

The course is split into 2 parts; Pure worth 2/3 of the course and Applied worth 1/3. Applied consists of Statistics and Mechanics. Specific areas of study in Pure include aspects such as algebra, differentiation, vectors and trigonometry. Statistics is statistical sampling and testing and probability. Mechanics is kinematics and forces. You sit three 2 hour papers at the end of y13. Paper 1 is 100% Pure, Paper 2 is 50% Pure & 50% Mechanics, Paper 3 is 50% Pure & 50% Statistics.
