Economics
Course summary
Economics has been described as a subject for which one either has an inherent talent or not. This is an exaggeration, but it is certainly a subject that is not readily learned from textbooks alone. So why study Economics? The study of Economics has developed as a stimulating and challenging subject in the Sixth Form. In short, there are few other subjects which give students such easy access to the material required. Each day the raw material is pumped out by the media. It is the way in which AS and A2 students process this information that makes it Economics. Creative and imaginative skills, problem solving, numeracy and ICT are among the other skills gained by a study of this subject.
