Course summary

Psychology at A level has links with many disciplines including biology, computer, and forensic science as well as humanities such as sociology, philosophy, anthropology, and even literature. Psychology involves the study of theory, empirical evidence, and practical applications. This mix of disciplines helps to make psychology such a fascinating subject. Psychology is a diverse topic devoted to the study of the mind and behavior. Year 12: - Approaches - Social Influence - Attachment - Memory - Issues & Debates - Research Methods Year 13: - Biopsychology - Psychopathology - Relationships - Schizophrenia - Forensic Psychology Psychology students often also study sociology, health & social care, sports studies, English, and biology. After studying the subject at A level may continue their psychology studies at university whilst others pursue degrees in teaching, sociology, law, and nursing.
