Assessment
The course consists of 13 units, 6 of which are mandatory and 4 are externally assessed units. Unit 1: Human Lifespan Development. Externally assessed 1hr 30 mins Unit 2: Working in Health and Social Care. Externally assessed 1hr 30 mins Unit 3: Anatomy and Physiology. Externally assessed 1hr 30 mins Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research. Externally assessed 3hrs Unit 5: Meeting Individual Care Needs. Internally assessed. Unit 6: Work Experience in Health and Social Care. Internally assessed. Unit 7: Safe Practice in Health and Social Care. Internally assessed Unit 8: Promoting Public Health. Internally assessed Unit 11: Psychological Perspectives. Internally assessed. Unit 12: Supporting Individuals with Additional Needs. Internally assessed. The final three units are decided as a discussion between the group to decide which units best fit the groups needs. These can include infection control, physiological disorders, mental health, dementia care and microbiology.
