Assessment

During the two year course, you will study a wide body of challenging English literature. Assessment comes from two examinations worth 80% of your grade, and two non-examination assessments worth 20% of your final grade. Paper 1 will focus on Shakespeare texts, and Paper 2 will focus on one post-2000 prose text, one poem, and one pre-1900 text, as well as an unseen passage. For the non-exam assessments, you will study one poem and one prose text and write two essays between 1250-1500 words.
