Course summary

Media Studies focuses on the production and consumption of a diverse range of texts and interactive media. It develops the learner’s appreciation of film, television, music, advertising, the Internet and print media by considering both how and why each medium is made. The A Level Media Studies from Eduqas was revamped in 2017 and features several contemporary topics that learners should enjoy. During the course, you will study all of the following media forms; music videos, video games, advertising, newspapers, magazines, film and television. You will acquire knowledge and understanding of media language, representation, industry and audiences as well as be able to create and manipulate media forms to suit different briefs.
