Course summary

Our aim in selecting the options below is to provide pupils with a spatially and temporally balanced view of History so that their understanding of the past is not solely based on English history or the twentieth century. Altogether, the units chosen constitute a wide-ranging survey of key events in the shaping of the modern world and provide an interesting range of approaches to the development of various historical skills, providing a solid foundation in the subject should the student wish to continue at degree level.
