Assessment

All BTEC qualifications now have exams, so are a mixture of coursework and examined units. This is one way that studying a BTEC can help prepare you for university, as most university courses also have coursework The course is modular and will lead to the Certificate qualification in Year 1 (2 units, 1 coursework and 1 controlled assessment) and then the Extended Certificate in Year 2 (after the final 2 units, 1 coursework, 1 exam).
