Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence. Our Science curriculum aims to provide the foundations for understanding the world around us while developing a sense of natural curiosity and wonder. - To encourage independent learners, listeners and thinkers - To provide enjoyable courses, that will stimulate interest and enthusiasm in Physics and develop an interest in further study and careers associated with the subject - To develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other - To develop competence and confidence in a variety of practical, mathematical and problem-solving skills - To develop and demonstrate a deep appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of scientific methods - To understand how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society
