Assessment

The course is assessed in three forms: external, internal and synoptic. The below units are external assessment examinations and tasks: Examinations - Information Technology Systems. Set Tasks (where you take an assessment during a defined window and demonstrate understanding through completion of a vocational task) - Creating Systems to Manage Information. Most of the other units are assessed internally through coursework tasks, such as: - Writing up the findings of your own research - Using case studies to explore complex or unfamiliar situations - Carrying out projects (for which you have choice over the direction and outcomes) - Demonstrating practical and technical skills using appropriate tools/processes etc.
