Assessment
There will be 2 written examinations at the end of Year 13, each lasting 2 hours 30 minutes. Paper 1: Physical Geography Paper 2: Human Geography Each examination is worth 40% of the overall A Level grade. The question papers are made up of a mixture of short answer questions and an extended piece of writing for each topic. You will also complete an individual investigation, this will be started at the end of Year 12 to be completed in the first term of Year 13. You will select the question or issue, relating to any part of the specification content. You will write up a 3,000-4,000 word investigation and complete your own fieldwork, both elements will be marked by teachers and moderated by our exam board. This will give you the remaining 20% of your overall A Level grade.
