Course summary
This course is ideally suited to those who enjoy reading and the study of texts. The course offers a relevant, engaging, and up-to-date approach to the study of literature, with a focus on the tragedy genre and critical theory. The chosen texts inter-connect, influence, and illuminate each other, encouraging independent study, and giving students the freedom to develop their enjoyment of the literary world. The course offers an analytical approach to texts and is a natural progression for skills gained at GCSE.
