Assessment

A-level Religious Studies consists of three externally examined papers. Paper 1: Philosophy of Religion 33.3% 120 mins 80 marks Paper 2: Religion and Ethics 33.3% 120 mins 80 marks Paper 3: New Testament Studies 33.3% 120 mins 80 marks Each written examination comprises three sections and students answer all questions in sections A, B and C. Section A: One short explanatory question and a slightly longer analytic question Section B: One short explanatory question based on an excerpt and one longer analytic question Section C: An extended evaluative essay
