Course summary
Studying this subject opens numerous career pathways from musical performance, live sound (concert and theatre), composition, mixing, and mastering. It allows you to explore the technological and musical developments that have shaped how we record, compose, and produce music and develop as independent artists. You will have the opportunity to visit commercial recording studios, network and collaborate with like-minded artists, and learn how to develop your online presence as an artist through enrichment sessions. The course is delivered over 5 hours per week with additional enrichment opportunities by Mr A Millar. Work is set and marked via Google Classroom. Practice-based projects run throughout the course however theoretical work and case studies are also a feature of the A Level.
