Assessment

This AQA English Combined course has two papers and a non-exam assessment. Paper 1 is titled Telling Stories - It is 3 hours long and 40% of the A-level. There are three sections called: - Remembered Places 40 marks - Imagined Worlds 35 marks - Poetic Voices 25 marks Paper 2: Exploring Conflict is a 2h30 exam, another 40% of the overall Grade, and has two sections: - Writing about Society 55 marks - Dramatic Encounter 45 marks Both parts are open book. The final component is Making Connections which investigates a chosen theme and texts, with methods of language analysis integrates into the activity. This amounts for 20% and is between 2500 (-) 3000 words.
