Assessment

Four units of work must be completed for the BTEC National Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care which is equivalent to one A level over two years. This consists of three mandatory units and one optional unit; optional units will be selected by teaching staff. Units are internally and externally assessed. Assessment methods include assignment, exams and synoptic research task. Each unit within the qualification has specified assessment and grading criteria.
