Course summary

This is the double option Maths choice, where you will study for two years and achieve two full ALevels in Maths. In Year 12 you complete the A Level Maths course. In Year 13 you complete the A Level Further Maths course, which you could do at AS or A2 level. The course includes topics from four areas: Pure Mathematics: algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus. Mechanics: vectors, forces, and motion. Statistics: interpreting data, probability. Decision Maths: application of Maths to managing commercial and industrial problems. Maths is an essential requirement for further study and careers in a range of professions such as finance, Engineering, Medicine, Economics, Accountancy, and computing.
