Assessment

The National Extended Certificate in Performing Arts is made up of 4 units of which 2 are externally assessed by Pearson (1 each year) and 2 internally assessed by the Performing Arts department in school and moderated by the exam board. This course is designed to be taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A levels. Students will be assessed every 6 weeks in line with our Praising Stars system in the Academy and this data will be shared with home. This will give us a clear indication of what level the student is working at and where and when specific intervention is needed.
