Assessment

All work will be internally marked against the given assessment criteria. This will also include evidence of key skills. All students must include for each component, preparatory studies, supporting studies, sketchbook(s), and outcomes. Visits to major and local exhibitions will be integral to the course. Candidates may also have the opportunity to go on an Art and Design educational art trip to a foreign or overseas city during the year. Figure drawing classes are included as part of the coursework structure. Professional artists in residence are arranged when possible. Visits to Art College Open Days are encouraged. Work experience can be arranged through the department’s connections with outside agencies.
