Assessment

This is a two-year A Level course. At the end of Year 13, there are two examined units and a non-examined assessment. Paper 1 ‘Literary Genres: Aspects of Tragedy or Comedy’ a two and a two-and-a-half hour closed book exam paper that is worth 40% Paper 2 ‘Texts and Genres: Elements of Crime or Political Writing’ a three-hour open book exam paper which is worth 40% Non-exam assessment (coursework) Theory and Independence which is worth 20%
