Course summary

Law is too important to be left to lawyers - every citizen should have some knowledge of their rights and of how to exercise these. So this is as much a course for those who wish to enter the legal profession – as it is for those who don’t. It is for everybody who has an interest in social justice and fairness – and the role of law in promoting such values. It is for everybody who wishes to investigate how law is used to regulate human conduct, how it is affected by changes in moral values, and how it does (or doesn’t) promote justice and even-handedness in society.
