Assessment

Assessment is by three exams: Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Writing – 2 hours 30, 50% of the overall mark (various comprehension texts and translations) Paper 2: Writing – 2 hours, 20% of the overall mark (2 essays on the book and film) Paper 3: Speaking – 20 mins, 30% of the overall mark (discussion of a stimulus card, discussion on a pre-prepared, researched topic) You will be required to complete a considerable amount of independent study, in order to assimilate vocabulary and grammatical structures, in addition to completing two assessed home works per half term.
