Assessment

Unit 1 - 2 ½ hour exam - tectonic hazards, coastal landscapes, the water cycle, and the carbon cycle. Unit 2 –2 ½ hour exam - globalization, superpower geographies, diverse places, migration and sovereignty. Unit 3 - 1 hour 45 minute exam - synoptic paper based on all of the above topics. Unit 4 - independent report. This is a piece of coursework submitted towards the end of Year 13, which will largely be based on a residential field trip carried out during Year 12. It will be around 5000 words in length. There will be 8 X 1-hour lessons per fortnight.
