Course summary

The A-level Biology course is designed to encourage candidates to develop essential knowledge and understanding of concepts of biology and to understand scientific methods and awareness of advances in technology through a variety of theoretical and practical modules. • Year 1: Foundations in Biology, Exchange and transport and Biodiversity, evolution and disease. • Year 2: Communication, homeostasis and energy, genetics, evolution and ecosystems. Development of practical skills takes place across the course.
