Assessment

The method of assessment of Further Mathematics is via four examinations. Each paper is 1½ hours in duration and accounts for 25% of the A-level. Paper 1 – Further Pure Proof, Complex numbers, Matrices, Further algebra and functions, calculus, vectors. Paper 2– Further Pure Complex numbers, Further calculus, Polar coordinates, Hyperbolic functions, Differential equations. Paper 3–Further Statistics Hypothesis testing, Chi-squared tests. Paper 4-Further Mechanics Elastic strings and springs Linear programming, critical path analysis.
