Course summary
The specification has been designed to encourage candidates to take a broad view of design and technology, to develop their capacity to design and make products and to appreciate the complex relations between design, materials, manufacture and marketing. The course has both practical and theoretical elements. Unit 1: Technical principles Unit 2: Designing and making principals Non Examined Assessment (NEA): Including folder of evidence and research combined with practical making task, based on a context and design brief developed by the student.
