Entry Requirements

- Ideally a grade A at GCSE. We will consider students who have achieved a good grade B. If a student has a grade B, and wishes to start the course, then they will be asked to do the following: Complete the work set on the Enrolment Day. Further details will be available on the school's website. Sit an assessment on the first day of term. This assessment will aim to establish if a student has the necessary algebraic skills to cope with the GCSE. Further details will be available on the schools website www.cockermouthschool.org. - Grade 5 in GCSE English Language; Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics and at least Grade 5 in another extended writing subject.
