Assessment

You will be assessed through two practical components and one theory module which is a written exam at the end of year thirteen. These break down as follows: • Component One: ‘Drama & Theatre’ Written examination, study of two set texts and live theatre performance. • Component Two: ‘Creating Original Drama’ Practical examination with working notebook. Students will devise an original piece of performance in the style of a chosen practitioner. They can be assessed as a director, designer or performer. • Component Three: ‘Making Theatre’ Practical examination with reflective report. Students will perform extracts from separate play texts and look at different performance styles.
