Course summary

This qualification provides an introduction to the digital media industry. You will gain a broad understanding of the range of sectors including music video, short film, animation, news, websites, digital games and print advertising. It will support you in the development of a number of skills including planning productions, budgeting, filming, editing and evaluation, as well as the analysis of existing media texts. Outside the classroom, the BTEC is designed to be a vocational course and the specification encourages links to local media businesses.
