Assessment

Component 1 (60% 0f total marks) - Personal investigation Students complete a personal investigation based on an idea, issue, concept or theme of their choice supported by a 1000-3000-word written assignment. Component 2 (40% of total marks) - Externally set assignment Students create a body of visual and written work in response to a theme given by AQA. This has a supervised time of fifteen hours and is internally marked and moderated by AQA by a visit to the Centre
