Assessment

The assessment of this course is through coursework (15%), practical assessment (15%) and two end-of-course examinations (70%). The course is an excellent foundation subject for those intending to pursue careers in teaching and coaching; medicine; the leisure industry; recreation management; health and fitness; the sporting media; or professional sport. For others, the multi-disciplinary nature of the course complements many other science or humanities subjects and it is therefore a good course for any pupils with an interest in sport.
