Course summary

History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.” These words of Winston Churchill neatly highlight some of the key themes of our studies, considering different interpretations of the past and how they continue to create our present day world. Our History studies follow the OCR specification, with units which cover a range of British and World topics, giving students an insight into issues which are interesting in their own right, as well as being hugely relevant to the world in which we live today. Units are examined by a mixture of shorter and longer answer questions involving sources and knowledge.
