Course summary

Many top Maths, Economics and Engineering courses at University give preference to students who study Further Mathematics. We offer Further Mathematics at A level. The course comprises 4 units: Further Pure 1 and Further Pure 2 are compulsory units, plus two applied units chosen from Further Pure Mathematics, Further Mechanics, Further Statistics and Further Decision Mathematics. A level Further Mathematics has to be taken in conjunction with A level Mathematics, with the full A level Mathematics being taught in Year 1and examined at the end of that year, then the full Further Mathematics taught in Year two.
