Art and Design (Photography)

Course summary

This course will suit those students who enjoy exploring the visual world around them and wish to develop their understanding of ‘lens based’ work. Students will be taught how to use the camera to produce high quality and creative images, and how to make the most of light, space and composition. As they are introduced to a range of photographers, they will also develop their own portfolio of work in response to given themes and stimuli. They will also show an understanding of digital manipulation and professional presentation of results. A previous GCSE in Photography is not required, although evidence of visual and creative skills will be beneficial. lens-based
