Course summary

The A Level course has been designed to give students the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to become autonomous citizens in an increasingly globalised world. Through the study of dynamic and contemporary ideas such as climate change and globalisation, students can understand and interact with issues that affect people and places at a range of scales from local to global – and all that is in between. Geography is potentially the most relevant subject for any student in the 21st century and the Geography Department aims to encourage a passion and love of this dynamic subject. Students will take part in a range of field trips to enhance the study of the world, locally within the school grounds and internationally. All pupils will be able to take part in the annual geography field trip which has taken place in the past to Iceland and Morocco.
