Entry Requirements

This is a linear two-year course with exams taken at the end of the two years. The specification is divided into 6 modules, starting in the first year with foundation skills, then building on GCSE knowledge of forces, motion, electricity, and quantum physics waves but in greater depth. It requires a good mathematical background as 40% of the marks available in the examinations will be for the assessment of Mathematics. To enter the course, it is advisable that the pupils have at least grade 6 in GCSE Physics or grade 7 in GCSE Combined Science and a minimum grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics.
