Assessment

There are three components for assessment: Performing (30% NEA) Total performance time of 8 minutes. Performance can be solo and/or ensemble. Composing (30% NEA) 2 compositions: 1 free choice composition (40 marks) - minimum 4 minutes 1 brief assessing technique (20 marks) - minimum 2 minutes Together, a minimum total of 6 minutes Appraising (40% exam) The six Areas of Study with 2-3 set works in each are assessed in a 2-hour listening examination.
