Do you love great literature? Are you fascinated by the history, archaeology and cultures of the Ancient Greeks and Romans? If so, Classical Civilisation is the A Level for you. The Classical Civilisation course offers an exciting exploration into many areas of the Classical world, including literature, history, archaeology, art, architecture, government, politics and philosophy. The influence of the classical world is all around us; A Level of Classical Civilisation will give you the chance to explore some of these influences in their original, classical contexts. Today’s A-Level Classical Civilisation course is exciting, challenging and varied. Universities and employers respect the skills which Classical Civilisation A Level develops: analysis and evaluation, interpretation of sources, effective communication, essay-writing, an appreciation of different cultures and societies and an understanding of the origins and foundations of the Western world.
