Course summary

All pupils commence the GCSE Science course in Lower Five (Year 10). There are two options available to the girls: Separate Sciences (which leads to 3 GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics) or Combined Science (which leads to 2 GCSEs). The decision between Separate and Combined is a collaborative one (involving pupil, teachers and parents) and is made towards the end of Upper Four (Year 9). In the case of new girls, the decision will be made as soon as possible after their arrival in Lower Five (Year 10).
