Assessment

Textiles students can go on to study on Foundation courses in Art and Design, Costume and Stage Design, Marketing and Advertising, Illustration and Fashion and Textiles Design. Component 1: Portfolio (taken from the AQA website) Portfolio of work Assessed · No time limit · 96 marks · 60% of AS Non-exam assessment (NEA) set and marked by the centre and moderated by AQA during a visit to the centre. Visits will normally take place in June. Component 2: Externally set assignment (taken from the AQA website) What’s assessed? Response to an externally set assignment · Preparatory period + 10 hours supervised time · 96 marks · 40% of AS Non-exam assessment (NEA) set by AQA, marked by the centre and moderated by AQA during a visit to the centre. Visits will normally take place in June.
