Entry Requirements

Open to 16 to 18-year-olds, our entry requirements depend on whether your child is a UK or international applicant. Prospective students will be invited to an interview with our Sixth Form Leadership Team. Anyone who has an interest in understanding how the world around them works, and who enjoys critical thinking and exploring ideas from different viewpoints. Students who have shown an interest in and aptitude for English and/or History almost always do well in Sociology, although success in the subject is certainly not limited to those who study these subjects. Sociology is an excellent complement to other subjects too, such as Psychology, Politics and Media Studies, but also provides a good balance if your other subjects are mainly science-based.
