Assessment

• Component 1: Appraising Music, pupils are externally assessed via a two-and-a-half-hour paper made up of listening and analysis. • Component 2: Performance, consists of an external assessment of a series of recordings made between March and May of the Upper Sixth year. • Component 3: Composition, candidates are required to compose two pieces that are externally assessed.
